Why we built this

The problem with real estate advice is who's giving it.

Homeowners (and homebuyers) have been conditioned to believe that the default step should be to speak to an agent first — an agent who has a financial stake in the outcome of their decision. That's not necessarily bad, but when the agent's performance is measured by the value captured from every transaction, it means the "advice" is almost always shaped by what benefits the advisor.

A bigger issue is that most real estate brokerages today, and in fact most companies involved in every step of the real estate transaction are now owned by large corporations or private equity firms that prioritize profits over the best interests of homeowners and buyers.
